Each commissioned painting begins with a story — a place, a season, or a moment that holds deep meaning. Through layers of oil paint and 24-karat gold leaf, I translate those memories into timeless landscapes that invite reflection, peace, and hope into the home.

Many commissions are inspired by places tied to pivotal chapters — where my collectors grew up, were married, found healing, or built family traditions. Others begin with something less tangible: a feeling, a turning point, a memory they want to carry forward. Each piece is created to live not only as art, but as an heirloom — woven into the story of a home and passed down for generations.

The Commission Process
Commissioning a painting is a thoughtful, collaborative experience, designed to feel both personal and seamless

Begin by completing the commission inquiry form, sharing your inspiration, preferred size range, and timing. This helps determine availability and fit.

Once the size of your painting is confirmed, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. Pricing is determined by size. This deposit secures your place on my commission schedule for the year.

Most commissions are scheduled four to six months in advance. As your place in the schedule approaches — typically four to six weeks before your painting begins — I’ll reach out to gather final reference materials and begin planning.

I begin each commission with a series of watercolor sketches, offering multiple compositional concepts inspired by your vision. You may select a single sketch or request that elements from multiple sketches be thoughtfully combined. Once a direction is approved, the final painting begins.

Your painting is created in oil with gold leaf in my studio. When the piece is complete, the remaining balance is due.

Once finalized, your painting is carefully packaged and either shipped or personally delivered, depending on location.
Sizes, Investment & Timing
Because of the time and care required, I accept a limited number of commissions each year on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have a specific timeline or time-sensitive request, you’re welcome to note that in your inquiry and I’ll let you know if accommodation is possible.

Commissions are available in custom sizes, beginning at 24 × 30 inches and scaled to suit the space they are created for.

Pricing begins at $3,600 for the smallest size and increases with scale, with most commissions ranging between $5,000 and $7,000.

The typical timeline is 4 to 6 months from the time your deposit is placed and project is reserved to completion
